Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026 · Written to respect data protection laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR and US state privacy laws, depending on where you live
1. Who is responsible for your data
Academy Convert, the producer and official support of the e-book "The Welder's Forge", is responsible for the personal data processed on this site. For anything about your data, write to suporteforjadosoldador@gmail.com.
2. What data we process
- Contact: if you write to our email, we process your name, your email address and the content of your message.
- WhatsApp: if you talk to us on WhatsApp, we process your number, your profile name and your messages. These conversations also pass through WhatsApp (Meta) and are subject to its own privacy policy.
- Browsing (Google Analytics): pages visited, where the visit came from, device type, approximate location and a cookie identifier. It is used to measure, in aggregate, how the site is used.
- Advertising (Meta Pixel and Conversions API): pages visited, clicks on the buy and WhatsApp buttons, IP address, browser and cookie identifiers (
_fbp,_fbc). It is used to measure and improve our ads on Facebook and Instagram. - Purchase: your name, email, billing details where required and payment data are collected and processed by Hotmart, the platform that handles the sales, not by us. From Hotmart we receive only what is needed for support (for example, name, email and the product bought).
- Free sample: downloading the sample does not ask for a sign-up and does not collect data beyond the browsing data above.
3. Why we use it and on what legal basis
Where the law of your country requires a legal basis, these are the ones we rely on:
- Answering your questions and giving support: performing a contract or taking steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in helping you (for example, GDPR art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
- Measuring visits and ads with cookies: only with your consent (for example, GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
- Processing and delivering your purchase: done by Hotmart, to perform the contract.
- Meeting legal obligations and defending legal claims, where they apply.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data for money. We share it only with the providers we need: Hotmart (payment and delivery), Google (Google Analytics), Meta (Pixel, Conversions API and WhatsApp) and the company that hosts the site. Each one handles the data under its own privacy policy.
5. International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside your country (for example, in the United States, the European Union or Brazil). Where the law of your country requires safeguards for such transfers, such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions, we rely on the ones our providers put in place.
6. How long we keep it
Support messages: for as long as needed to answer you and meet legal obligations. Measurement cookies: Google Analytics up to 2 years; Meta Pixel up to 90 days. Your cookie choice is stored in the forja_consent cookie for 6 months.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, a portable copy, to object to certain uses, and to withdraw your consent. Write to suporteforjadosoldador@gmail.com, tell us which country or state you live in, and we will answer within the time your law sets. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.
8. If you live in California or another US state with a privacy law
Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information or of targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. Some laws treat the use of advertising cookies as "sharing" or "targeted advertising"; we only turn those cookies on if you accept them, and you can change your choice at any time (see the Cookies section). We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
9. Cookies
On your first visit we ask whether you accept cookies. Only after you click "Accept" do we turn on Google Analytics (cookies _ga and _ga_*) and the Meta Pixel (cookies _fbp and _fbc). If you decline, the site works just the same. . Hotmart's payment pages use their own cookies, under Hotmart's policy.
10. Security and children
The site uses a secure connection (HTTPS) and does not store card data. We take reasonable steps to protect the data we receive by email and WhatsApp. The site is meant for adults, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with the date at the top.
